Igara AI: Intelligent Freight Management and Negotiation Agent

AI agent that receives transportation requests, negotiates pricing and terms with carriers and drivers by voice, and organizes proposals to support decision making.

Problem

Transportation coordination relies on phone conversations where pricing, vehicle availability, pickup changes, and commercial terms are not always documented. This creates dependency on specific individuals, makes it difficult to manage multiple negotiations simultaneously, and limits the traceability of agreements and supplier selection.

My contribution

Developed an AI agent that receives requests through WhatsApp, identifies missing information and, once the required data is available, places calls to negotiate transportation services with registered suppliers. Integrated WhatsApp, Twilio, and OpenAI's real time voice model, with instructions to guide data collection and negotiation. Structured the storage of recordings, transcripts, and proposals using a unique quotation identifier, enabling the tracking and review of each negotiation.

Outcomes and learnings

The solution already receives requests through WhatsApp, gathers additional information, and places live calls with bidirectional conversations to negotiate transportation pricing and terms. The project strengthened my experience in voice agents and integration across communication channels. Next steps include negotiating with multiple suppliers in parallel, comparing proposals, and presenting the best offer for approval through WhatsApp. The roadmap also includes handling exceptions, such as vehicle unavailability, by initiating a new quotation process and notifying the contracting party.
